(2) The function of the brake With the development of the equipment in the direction of large-scale and super-large, professional and efficient automation, the brake is developing rapidly towards heavy-duty, multi-functional, intelligent and maintenance-free braking conditions. The heavy-duty braking condition is to meet the supporting braking requirements of large and ultra-large heavy-duty mechanisms; The multi-function mainly includes brake release interlock function, manual release function, gasket wear limit (interlock) function, wear automatic compensation function, etc.; Intelligence refers to the introduction of digital technology and computer technology into the control system; Maintenance-free refers to the automatic adjustment of the brake function by turning it into an automatic adjustment function, and at the same time achieving high reliability of brake operation and performance. In addition, real-time maintenance of industrial brakes through remote monitoring is also an important development direction of brakes. (3) Safety brake The safety brake is a mechanical brake set on the final shaft (drum shaft) of the transmission mechanism, and is generally only used on important mechanisms with lifting properties (crane lifting mechanism, boom pitching mechanism and inclination downward belt conveyor, etc.). Since the 80s of the 20th century, with the rapid development of lifting, loading and unloading machinery in the direction of large-scale and super-large, special-purpose, semi-automatic and automatic, the application of safety brakes has developed rapidly. At present, the safety brake has been widely used in large-scale port special loading and unloading machinery, and large-scale special lifting equipment (such as power station gantry crane, foundry crane, cable crane lifting mechanism, etc.) and inclined belt conveyor are being popularized and applied. China's safety brake in the mid-90s of the 20th century is almost blank, after the mid-90s of the 20th century, China's large-scale, dedicated port loading and unloading machinery manufacturing level of rapid improvement and rapid growth of market demand, to promote the rapid development of China's safety brakes.
